BIGBANG Makes History as First K-Pop Group to Headline Sydney’s Accor Stadium

K-pop group BIGBANG has made history in Australia, becoming the first K-pop group to hold a standalone concert at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.

The group performed on October 31, 2026, as part of its “XX : COSMOS” world tour, celebrating its 20th anniversary. The concert marked BIGBANG’s first solo performance in Sydney in 11 years, following its previous show in October 2015.

The Sydney concert also served as the Australian stop on the group’s 2026–2027 world tour.

A Historic Night at One of Australia’s Biggest Stadiums

Accor Stadium, located in Sydney Olympic Park, is one of Australia’s largest concert and sporting venues. It has previously hosted major international performers, including Taylor Swift and Coldplay.

BIGBANG’s performance brought G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung together on the Australian stage, giving local fans an opportunity to see the group perform its biggest hits.

The concert opened with “Fantastic Baby,” “Hands Up” and “Tonight.” The setlist also included popular songs such as “Loser,” “Haru Haru,” “Lies” and “Bang Bang Bang.”

Each member also performed individual solo stages, while the group introduced its newly released song “BiiiG.”

The production featured a live band, dancers, special effects and fireworks.

According to YG Entertainment, BIGBANG became the first K-pop group to headline Accor Stadium with a standalone concert.

Celebrating 20 Years With Fans

The Sydney concert was particularly meaningful as BIGBANG celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The members expressed their gratitude to their long-time fandom, known as V.I.P., during the performance.

“Our 20th anniversary was possible because of V.I.P.,” the group told fans, according to The Korea Herald.

They also expressed their hope that the concert would mark the beginning of more opportunities to spend time with fans.

Since debuting in 2006, BIGBANG has become one of the influential groups in K-pop history, with songs such as “Fantastic Baby,” “Bang Bang Bang” and “Haru Haru” gaining international recognition.

BIGBANG’s World Tour Continues Across Asia

Following the Sydney performance, BIGBANG is scheduled to continue its 2026–2027 world tour across Asia.

Upcoming stops include Bangkok, Hong Kong and several Japanese cities, including Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo and Fukuoka. The group is also scheduled to visit Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Manila and Taiwan in 2027.

The Sydney concert represents another milestone in BIGBANG’s long career, demonstrating the continued international interest in the group two decades after its debut.
